On 2 and 3 October (Madrid) the Smart Energy Congress 2024: transforming the challenges of the energy transition into opportunities thanks to technology will be held. An event that will address the double challenge posed by the energy transition objectives and the need for competitive improvements. A situation in which ICT, with paradigms such as Twin Transition, Digital Twins and Net Zero, will play a fundamental role.
Smart Energy Congress, organised by the enerTIC.org Platform, will take place on 2 and 3 October 2024 at the North Convention Centre of the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid.
This twelfth edition of the Smart Energy Congress, entitled Twin Transition: digitising the present for a more sustainable future, will address key aspects of the current challenges, from the need to optimise energy consumption, which in some sectors can reach 70% of operating costs, to joining the 44% of large Spanish companies that already have sustainable mobility plans, which makes them more competitive, among many other use cases. Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins, Advanced Data Analytics, IoT, Hyperconvergence and others transform the energy challenge into a great opportunity for competitive improvement.
The activities of the Smart Energy Congress 2024 are organised into four main areas, Industries & Mobility, IT Infrastructure & Data Center, eGovernment & Cities and Energy & Utilities, which will be fully represented in the various types of activities that will take place during the two days of the event. The Strategy and Technology Auditoriums will address the current situation and the major challenges posed by it, focusing on the objectives of Decarbonisation, Neutrality in emissions footprint (Net Zero), Efficiency and Sustainability.
This is the thematic programme of the auditoriums (the updated agenda is available on the SEC 2024 website):
- Challenges and strategies in the implementation of the 4D Paradigm.
- Sustainability and green economy: twin transition on the road to 2030.
- Public administrations: transformation plans and policies.
- ESG: aligning strategic and social objectives.
- Artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to improve distribution networks.
- Technologies driving the twin transition.
- Industry 5.0: the shared intelligence revolution.
- Smart Cities: building the cities of the future.
More specific sessions will also be held in the spaces dedicated to the four thematic areas, in which leading experts will establish direct connections between the needs of the different sectors, from industrial sector infrastructures to connected cities, and the technological solutions specifically designed to respond to these needs.
