Its mission is to contribute to the energy independence of territories and countries, and to the energy transition of its customers, achieving for them the decarbonisation of their activity, a competitive migration and the supply of green hydrogen.
Its services include, among others, the promotion, design, construction, operation and maintenance of green hydrogen production plants, supplying the same on the basis of long-term contracts (HPAs); solutions for the logistics sector from the point of view of supplying trucks and forklift trucks that transport goods within logistics centres; mobility and transport solutions for long-haul and heavy-duty vehicles where hydrogen is competitive with electricity; solutions for industry both to provide hydrogen as a feedstock and for high-temperature heat generation.
pHYnix has the first commercial-sized (10MW) green hydrogen production plant, Vitale, which is in the engineering phase and will start construction in October 2022. Located in Alcazar de San Juan (Ciudad Real, Spain), Vitale will produce 1,450 tonnes of renewable hydrogen per year from early 2024. The green hydrogen production will be used in the mobility, logistics, long-distance passenger transport, urban and intercity transport sectors in the Madrid region. In addition, part of the production will be injected into the gas grid for export to the European market.
About Logistop
Logistop is an association whose mission is to impact the Spanish supply chain by transforming it through innovation into a more sustainable and efficient one. It is a multidisciplinary and inter-territorial working space in the field of logistics innovation, comprising all the actors involved in the supply chain, as well as universities, technology centres, associations and specialised consultancies, making up the perfect ingredients of possible project promoters.
Through Logistop, research, development and innovation priorities are effectively defined, as well as articulating and carrying out innovation projects among the partners, without excluding the possibility of collaborating with or receiving support from certain organisations external to Logistop.
To this end, a series of events are promoted (webinars, focus sessions, project sessions, etc.) which, in addition to dynamising and aligning priorities and needs, generate knowledge and add value to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of the logistics and mobility chain in Spain.
